When I left the University of North Carolina to teach in the Mississippi Teacher Corps, I was of the mindset that I would be a student more than a teacher. That has certainly proved to be true. This portfolio is more than just documentation of my performance as a Master's degree candidate and a high school science teacher. It is a time capsule of a very important period in my life and it shows glimpses of my development as a teacher and a person. It shows what kind of teacher I've been and become, and it shows how the experience has influenced me and shaped my character and my teaching style. More than anything else, I hope it's an honest portrayal of what I've done.
